Jianghan University is a public comprehensive higher education institution approved by the Ministry of Education of China, which was formed by the merger of the former Jianghan University, Hankou Branch of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan Medical College for Workers, Wuhan Institute of Education, and other universities. The school implements a joint construction system between Hubei Province and Wuhan City, with Wuhan City as the main focus. It is a key university under provincial and municipal construction. The school has 11 disciplines, including engineering, science, management, economics, humanities, law, agriculture, arts, medicine, education, and history, with 18 colleges and 72 undergraduate majors. There are a total of 24 national and provincial-level characteristic professional projects. There are 13 provincial-level research institutions and platforms, including the Key Laboratory of the Ministry of Education and the Key Laboratory of Hubei Province, as well as 6 provincial-level experimental teaching demonstration centers. We have over 60 research institutions at or above the university level, including provincial and ministerial level research bases and academician workstations.
